A summer afternoon

Rose Garden

July. Summer is here and the Royal Botanical Gardens is showing off some beautiful colours. We spent a HOT summer Saturday afternoon touring the gardens, walking the woodland trails and watching the carp jump in the marsh in the middle of the arboretum.

Busy bees

I particularly enjoyed photographing the roses. I took these photos using my Blackberry and was impressed with how well it captured the colours and delicateness of the petals that appeared transparent under the sun, and look at those busy bees!

Paper roses

Flowers, so amazingly created – something that cannot be replicated (see my paper roses).
